The Radio Amateur Emergency Network (RAYNET) is an established national organisation. It was formed some 50 years ago, to provide emergency back-up radio communications for the Emergency Services and Local Authorities. They have provided support during major flooding, sever weather, major incidents and at exercises. In addition RAYNET has given support to numerous community groups and charity events including :-

  • THE QUEENS JUBLIEE VISIT – BATH

  • MAJOR FLOODING INCIDENTS

  • THE BATH HALF MARATHON

  • SOMERSET CARNIVALS

  • HALF MARATHON - NORTON RADSTOCK

  • BRISTOL – BIKE RIDE

We need your help in

  • Can you spare a few hours every month or so?
  • Would you like to use your hobby of Amateur Radio to help others?
  • Why not join us?
  • Please note that non – radio licence holders can join RAYNET in a supporting role.

    Joining RAYNET costs nothing, but can be an interesting, worthwhile use of some your spare time above all you get a free yellow tabard.
